About the Club
Havant and Hayling Bowmen Archery Club:
A Legacy of Passion and Precision

Founded in 1974
Founded in 1974 by a dedicated group of archery enthusiasts, Havant and Hayling Bowmen Archery Club has grown into a welcoming and thriving community for archers of all skill levels. Over the years, we have practiced at various locations, including the Havant Incinerator and Park Community School, before settling into our current venues at Fort Purbrook and St Faith’s Church in Havant.
Our club is more than just a place to shoot arrows—it’s a hub for learning, camaraderie, and the shared appreciation of this ancient and skillful sport. Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned archer, we offer a supportive environment with expert coaching, high-quality facilities, and a friendly group of like-minded individuals.
Fort Purbrook
Located at the historic Fort Purbrook, our club provides a unique and inspiring setting where members can hone their skills, participate in competitions, and enjoy the social aspects of the sport. We take pride in fostering a welcoming atmosphere where everyone, from juniors to veterans, can experience the joy of archery.
At Havant and Hayling Bowmen, we believe archery is more than just a hobby—it’s a lifelong passion. Whether you aim to compete at the highest level or simply enjoy shooting for fun, our club is here to help you every step of the way.
Join us and become part of a rich tradition that has stood the test of time!
